I enjoy modern design, flapjacks, and sleeping in. My work has two major areas of focus: illustration & design for the web.
I always strive for detailed line work, utilizing small brushes and dehydrated ink. Ink has always been my preferred medium. The details, intricacies, and nuances possible within line and shadow have always enticed me, always helping to temporarily sate my desire for artistic challenge. The cohesive and unifying nature of black and white highlights detail and radiates a completely different emotion than works with color.
For the past two years, I have been working as a freelance web designer in between school and other projects. My ambition to design websites can be traced back to 2004, when, in fourth grade, I launched my first website (proudly created with the popular Microsoft Frontpage). Since then, I have continued to improve and learn, now writing code from scratch in the HTML and CSS programming languages. The aspects of design that are particularly vital are simplicity, beauty, and usability.
